Sara Wilso Holden, 96, of Pikesville, MD passed away on October 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in Birdsville, MD on December 14, 1919 to the late Richard and Pearl (nee Meade) Dove. She was married to the late Daniel L. Holden, III.

Mrs. Holden worked in the medical field as a nurse. She was Past President, Charter Member and Co-Founder of Box 234 Association. She was also a member of the Garden Club of Pikesville and President of the Alter Guild at St. Mark’s on the Hill. She was an avid gardener and loved to bake. She also loved to sew and has made 17 wedding gowns.

She is survived by her children Anida L. England, A. Rosella Taylor, Carol H. Wright and Richard L. and his wife Randee S. Holden; grandchildren William B. England, Jr., John H. Taylor, III, Thomas P. Taylor, Barbara L. Taylor, Daniel A. Taylor, M. Scott Wright, Craig B. Wright, Sean T. Wright, Heather W. Meekins and Heather R. Brown; 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by brother Vernon Dove and granddaughter A. Danelle England-Dansicker.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road (at Franklin Blvd.) on Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Wednesday, 10am at St. Mark’s on the Hill, 1620 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208. Interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
