Stella M. Hazard, 103, of Pikesville passed away on March 20, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Catonsville. She was born on November 2, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John and Martha (nee Stasiak) Dernoga. She was married to the late Charles O. Hazard, Jr.

Mrs. Hazard was an art teacher at Maryvale Trinity Prep. School and Villa Julie College.

She is survived by her daughter Carla and her husband Stanley C. Tomaszewski; daughter in law Miriam Hazard; grandchildren Charles Adam Hazard, Brenda Ann Corral, Ruth Elisabeth Kashnow, Sarah Ellen Molk, Anastasia M. Tomaszewski and Jan Tadeusz Tomaszewski; great grandchildren Charles Ryan Hazard, Samuel Oliver Hazard, Martha Elisabeth Hazard, Mary Sharon Hazard, Andrew Michael Goldman, Simon Marcus Goldman, Daphne Grace Molk, Lillian Jules Molk and Daliah Jade Kashnow. Predeceased by son Charles Rodger Hazard.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9pm and on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 9:30am to 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019, 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home Chapel, 1222 Tugwell Drive, Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville.
