The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Catherine Muia can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My Mom

To everyone who knew her,she was either Mom or Miss Catherine. Everyone loved her smile and her peaceful way. One person who came to visit remarked that they could feel "peace"when they came in the door.  When mom no longer got out of bed,and there would be company, she would look at me and I knew what I was expected to do. She wanted everyone to feel comfortable and that look meant offer a drink,or food.  When she was in good health she cooked a great deal. She was afraid that I would never learn to cook . Finally, she taught my brother and sister-in-law the meatball receipe and she even remarked that they were as good as hers! I miss our long talks and praying the rosary each night. She stayed awake to be able to do this,I would be falling asleep at each Hail Mary, and soon I would hear her voice say,"HAIL"that would wake me right up!She never failed to ask about the family and who I had spoken with that day.I miss her voice and her appreciative way,she would thank me for all I did. The truth is she deserved the best! Rest easy,Mom we know you are in a better place, and we love you so much.
